Homeowners in Tennessee’s Nashville-Mount Juliet area can look to Elliott Katz and his new Kitchen Tune-Up location to spruce up their kitchens with creativity and fresh ideas. Katz wants to help clients create the looks they desire, affordably and easily.
For Katz, his new Kitchen Tune-Up franchise realizes his goal of being his own boss. Kitchen Tune-Up lets him “hold the reins of my own destiny professionally,” he says.
“For as long as I remember, I’ve said ‘I’d open my own business when I have my own idea,’” Katz recalls. “Franchising is a smarter pathway for me since the idea never came. Kitchen Tune-Up was an easy choice when compared to others. The family owned business is more in line with me from a values position and I’m not a fan of a corporate work environment.”
Kitchen Tune-Up’s proven processes and systems, and its already established value, attracted Katz. So did the supportiveness of “fellow Tunies willing to step in and share their experience, strength and hope,” Katz says. “Being part of a community and not being alone is the most exciting part.”
Creating a Sanctuary
Katz spent most of his working life as a makeup artist, dealing with top international brands. “I love helping people create the look and feel they crave and am excited to transition that passion and gift from makeup to kitchens,” he says.
Katz, a homebody himself, understands why homeowners want to improve their homes and design more functional and beautiful kitchens. He appreciates efficient home organization and relaxing spaces in his own life.
“I believe I am most at peace when I am at home,” Katz says. “Creating my sanctuary has been both a burden and a blessing. I love working in my garden and digging in the dirt. At the same time, having an organized kitchen, bath, closet and garage helps me to know where things are and to rest comfortably at night.
“My home is where my family gathers. Where we celebrate our lives together. And where we find common ground to rest, recharge, recover, and reconnect.”
Katz’s KTU team will serve customers across a wide swath of Tennessee towns, including Donelson, Madison, Hermitage, Mount Juliet, Lebanon, Old Hickory, Watertown, Opry Mills, Airport, Providence, Percy Priest, and Cumberland River.
